Solidarity Not Charity!

Help power our movement of mutual aid as we build people power through community fridges, libraries, and more!

Southside Action Pact is a mutual aid organization that engages in relief towards a spectrum of systematic disparities such as but not limited to food inequity, quality of life, and political empowerment in the predominant, and empowered Black and Brown community of Southeast Queens in New York City.

In response to the Black Lives Matter Movement, and a global pandemic, Southside Action Pact engaged in mutual aid practices such as the launching of our Community Fridge which provides free food, year-round to local community members to fill the gaps that the state has continually failed to address in working-class communities across the nation. While our Community Fridge serves as the beacon of our mutual aid efforts in Southeast Queens, we have expanded to launching mobile libraries that provide free Black and Brown curated literature, community clean-ups, and comprehensive forms of political education to empower and mobilize community members to engage in community care.

We have the people, we have the power, and most importantly we have the courage. However, as a grassroots organization that is not backed by a big corporate funder, we recognize that access to funds and resources can play a defining factor in the impact we have to aid, transform and empower Black and Brown communities.
